Jingokyo
Jingokyo creates ceramics fired in traditional wood kilns, naturally expressing the flow of clay and glaze through the sculptural qualities and textures of buncheong ware. Within traces left intentionally unembellished, the vessels continue alongside daily use and the passage of time.
Buncheong Vessel
A Buncheong vessel distinguished by the gentle contrast between a milky white glaze and the rich tone of exposed clay. Its softly rounded form creates a sense of ease, while the natural texture and grain of the clay remain beautifully visible across the surface. The harmony of warm ivory and earthy brown lends the piece a quiet warmth, making it equally suited as a waste-water vessel (toesugi) or as a small flower vase.
* Each piece is individually handcrafted and kiln-fired by the artist. Variations in glaze, color, kiln transformation, and firing marks are natural characteristics of the work, making every piece unique. As each item differs slightly from the photographs, please contact the tea house if you would like to view images of the actual piece before shipment.
