As an accompanying program to the exhibition "Muju: Dwelling Ceramics, Ido Chawan," we have prepared a special session with ceramic artist Kim Young-tae of Gonmyeongyo.

Join us to hear the artist's stories about his research into Sacheon's Sueulto (Water-Earthenware clay) firsthand, touch the actual Sueulto, and explore the entire process of how a single tea bowl is completed. This is an opportunity to share the journey of finding and handling materials, firing in a wood-fired kiln, and the consistent path of his work, all while enjoying tea.

We hope this session will be a chance for everyone to contemplate the form of ceramics that dwells in their hearts, tracing the history of earth, fire, and time, and understanding why so many people have been captivated by Ido Chawan for so long.

Additionally, seasonal new tea, matcha, and traditional confections will be served, allowing you to deeply experience the harmony of the artist's ceramics and tea.

During the exhibition period, Teahouse Hada has prepared a gathering where visitors may share stories contained within the works together with the artist.

Over a cup of tea, we invite you to slowly converse about the process of creation, the dialogue between wood and hands, and the emotions residing quietly between them.

In connection with the exhibition, a quiet tea room gathering has been prepared where visitors may experience the etiquette and beauty of tea ceremony alongside a warm bowl of tea.

Led by Japanese Urasenke tea instructor Chifuku Sokei (地福宗恵), each session welcomes three guests at a time, serving both koicha (thick tea) and usucha (thin tea) sequentially.

Participants may experience the etiquette of Japanese tea ceremony together with the humble and comforting atmosphere conveyed by the grass-hut tea room.

As you encounter tea bowls while sharing tea itself, we hope you savor the meaning and lingering resonance held within tea ceremony culture.

During the exhibition period, a special gathering with artist Kim Young-tae of Gonmyeongyo will be held.

A demonstration of Goryeo-era tea preparation will feature Muhyangcha in compressed tea-brick form being ground upon a tea stone (Dayeon) and whisked according to historical methods.

Through drinking tea in the style of the Goryeo period, participants may experience profound moments where tea and ceramics meet.

Afterward, conversation with the artist continues through reflections on clay, fire, and the accumulated time held within ceramic vessels.

‘Breathe, slowly observe, and enjoy a peaceful rest.’ In the embrace of a quiet forest, in the heart of a tea garden where only the morning sunlight filtering through leaves rustling in the wind and the chirping of birds reside. It’s a time to settle deep within yourself with a warm cup of tea.

Step away from your busy daily life for a moment and deeply breathe, slowly observe, and feel the peaceful resonance that connects you with nature. Five-sense meditation through tea, which opens your senses and calms your mind, and walking meditation, which soothes your body and mind as you walk along the earth's energy, will be offered. A time of deep rest and warm recovery awaits you amidst the fragrant green scenery.

We have prepared a tea-food pairing gathering enriched through conversation with the artists.

Through teas and dishes curated by Director Lim Bo-eun, we hope this year-end season becomes deeper and more memorable as the year comes to a close.

<Winter Reflection 冬の思索> Sairyuki & Hwang Seung-wook of Jingokyo. As part of the exhibition program, we have prepared a special tea time where you can meet the artists directly. During this meeting, we invite you to have a warm cup of tea and engage in a deep conversation about the exhibited artworks with the artists.

To mark the opening of the exhibition, we have prepared a tea pairing gathering titled Sochun 小春.

Through a tea pairing course of seasonal confections and teas curated by Director Lim Bo-eun, participants are invited to encounter the works of Sairyuki and Hwang Seung-wook together.

Held at the boundary between seasons, the gathering embodies the feeling of “a small spring within winter” that arrives after the first snowfall between Soseol and Daeseol in late autumn.
We invite you to experience a tea setting that lingers quietly within this seasonal threshold.

Wood carving refers to shaping wood through carving by hand with knives and tools.

This workshop offers participants the opportunity to create their own tea scoop or tea tray for enjoying tea through woodworking.

In conjunction with the exhibition Breathe, Gaze Slowly 睱, Teahouse Hada has prepared a meditation program.

Within the meditation room space, participants will breathe together while using Nosando Workshop’s meditation tea ware and remain within the clear resonance of crystal singing bowls. The program offers a time of purification and encounter with one’s deeper inner self.

Inspired by the works in the "Nostalgia" exhibition at Teahouse Hada, we have prepared a course themed "Autumn Records" with Director Im Bo-eun. This course features seasonal ingredients such as radish and ginkgo, paired with Korean traditional confectionery and premium teas, perfectly suited for the peak of autumn, "Sanggang" (the frost-falling period).

This exhibition creates moments of inward contemplation alongside Eunjakgirim tea ware.

Through the tea setting, visitors quietly encounter themselves and begin a dialogue with their inner selves reflected within the teacup. The simple acts of pouring and drinking tea become a meditative process of guiding oneself inward.

The 'Ho-un Cha-hyang' exhibition explores the concepts, characteristics, and value of Yixing teapots through their past and present.

During the exhibition, there will be an opportunity to meet artist Tae-geun Yoo over tea. This is a chance to hear stories about white porcelain and blue-and-white porcelain, and learn about appreciating ceramics directly from the artist, while sharing tea. We have prepared a welcome tea that suits the season and the exhibition, along with Korean green tea or yellow tea served in a meditation-friendly "bodeumi" cup. Afterwards, you can enjoy whisked matcha and wagashi in a bodeumi. We hope you'll take the time to appreciate and enjoy the artist's work.
