Jeonghoyo

Artist Lim Man-jae of Jeonghoyo (井戶窯) is a ceramic artist based in Gimhae, Gyeongsangnam-do, who has devoted more than thirty years to researching and creating traditional tea bowls. While inheriting the forms and aesthetics of Joseon-era Ido chawan, the artist also pursues practicality and balanced beauty suited for everyday use.
The traces of clay and fire born within wood kilns, along with the flow of glaze and rich surface textures, reveal deep emotional resonance throughout the work.

Hoeryeongyu "Bodeumi"

A tea bowl crafted from Hadong white clay and traditional Hoeryeong glaze. Gray and ivory tones softly overlap upon a deep blue foundation, creating a calm yet profound atmosphere. The Hoeryeong glaze, made from straw ash, naturally spreads according to the movement of fire, revealing traces of ash and subtle glaze gradations unique to wood-kiln firing. The rounded form, comfortably embraced in both hands, embodies meanings of care and tenderness.

Tea

It captures the natural aroma of tea leaves, sculpted by the mountains, wind, and sunlight. A cup steeped in the energy of nature gently connects you to the rhythm of your day.
