The works of artist Ahn Gi-mo of Tosan-yo embody within ceramics the wisdom of ancient scholars who sought consolation for life within nature.
The artist’s touch is layered upon diverse clays, and through the long process of wood-kiln firing, the works emerge as experiences of becoming one with nature through ceramics.
Beneath the fully ripened autumn sky, we hope this exhibition becomes a moment to step away from the transience of reality, feel the clear wind of nature, contemplate the poems inscribed upon tea ware, and enter quiet reflection.
